September 1st, 2017 Georgia Center of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (GCDHH) acquired the Stagehands from VSA arts of Georgia. Stagehands provides sign language interpreter service for theater performances in Metro Atlanta, Georgia Renaissance Festival as well as Six Flags over Georgia.
GCDHH is excited to expand it’s service by providing sign language interpreters for our community. Donna Flanders was coordinating with VSA arts of Georgia for several years and has accepted to continue on her responsibilities with GCDHH. GCDHH’s Executive Director, Jimmy Peterson, has confidence that Donna Flanders will improve and expand Stagehands. Donna’s vast knowledge and experience in performance interpreting will aid in Stagehands continued success.
GCDHH (www.gcdhh.org) and the Georgia Renaissance Festival (www.garenfest.com) are thrilled to announce that they will host the ASL Celebration Day on May 20, 2018. Look for more announcement about the ASL Celebration Day soon.
