GCDHH is always looking for volunteers! Volunteering for GCDHH is both exciting and rewarding. Our volunteers bring many wonderful benefits to the agency, and our volunteer program has many different opportunities available. GCDHH relies on volunteers to ensure that our programs and services are successful.

We have many volunteer opportunities available. If you would like to do something that is not listed below, please let us know.
Sign Language Tutor – teaches sign language to families or a person with hearing loss. Volunteer must be fluent in ASL.
Drivers Written Test Instructor – helps prepare for written portion of drivers test. (Not driving portion of training).
Peer Supporter – A person with hearing loss who can self-advocate teaching others about empowerment.
Companion – visits shut ins and homebound customers.
GCDHH Outreach Assistant – promotes GCDHH to agencies and customers.
GED ABE Instructor – Volunteer must have credentials and experience to teach.
Fundraising Assistant – mails support letters, updates databases, coordinates fundraising efforts and calls for donations.
Office Monitor – Opens office when staff is absent. Refers walk ins to staff on call via videophone.
Community Education/Special Events – assists staff with Community Education activities, provides support. Participates in various activities at Events and Fairs.
Office worker – Prints/copies forms, files general information. Develops and organizes projects given by staff member.
